Review of the reasons and motives of national sports heroes to enter the realm of politics in Iran Case Study: Wrestling Sport

Nowadays, in Iran, sports and politics have merged and they cannot be separated, and wrestling is not also separated from this matter. Especially in recent years, the wrestlers entry to political arena of Iran, proof of this claim. Research methodology it is a mixed research methods. The mixed method research methodology is combines qualitative and quantitative research methods. The statistical population consists of all nationalize wrestlers was after the revolution. Sampling method is Non-random and purposive sampling type and availability. The number of samples is 120 nationalize wrestler. In data analysis, we use the Friedman test for ranking of entry and interference factors. Research findings, the results showed that31factorswere identified, of which 17arerelated to the causes of the wrestlers enter the arena of politics, and 14 is duet interference and facilitate entry of wrestlers. Friedman test results also showed that, in the case of entry, earn the higher posts has the highest average, and fame has the lowest mean, But Friedman test results about Intervention and facility, International relations is the highest rated sports, and Community needs to Knowledge of Sport has the lowest rating. Policy issue is complex, fascinating and amazing that athletes are placed as chess nuts in the political chess board. Finally, to wrestling champion s recommended that to make careful decisions in cooperation with politicians or politicization and wrestlers instead the fate of a particular political group has focus their attention to wrestle.(P<0.05).
