Percolation Phenomenon in Microemulsions : The Temperature Effect

1992
In this paper, as an experimental pathway, we have chosen to vary temperature while keeping all the other parameters constant. A percolation temperature is defined for the imposed value of the volume fraction ϕ. Various experimental curves concerning the variations of the conductivity σ, the dielectric constant es and the dynamic viscosity η, versus temperature are shown. The viscosity properties of the waterless glycerol/AOT/oil system give a good example of an unusual behaviour, and are exemplary of the difficulty in the interpretation of the percolation phenomenon.
