The Antinociceptive Action of a Novel Anxiolytic and Tensiolytic Drug (Benzoctamine) in Two Different Writhing Syndromes

Using different writhing syndromes, it was shown that benzoctamine, a novel compound possessing anxiolytic and tensiolytic effects, is capable of exerting a pronounced antinociceptive (‘analgesic’) action in mice already at a dosage which does not lead to any disturbance of the locomotor activity.
