Ön Diz Ağrisi Yakinmasiyla Başvuran Bir Olgu Nedeniyle Hoffa Hastaliği A Case Presenting with Anterior Knee Pain: Hoffa Disease
2014
Hoffa’s disease is characterized by anterior knee pain secondary to inflammation of the infrapatellar fat pad. It is becoming increasingly diagnosed with the widespread use of magnetic resonance imaging. However, it can be easily under-diagnosed because of the different nomenclatures for the same clinical symptoms. Lack of awareness and knowledge about this disease may lead to incorrect or late diagnosis. In this manuscript, a 24-year-old woman who was admitted with anterior knee pain and diagnosed as Hoffa’s disease is presented, and the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of this rare condition are discussed.
