Slowing down to create streets for people

2012
On 14 August 2012 the Victorian Government released the Victorian Speed Limit Review, 2012. This document is a result of the call for submissions 12 months ago and the subsequent review of current speed limit allocations. The purpose of the review was to simplify Victoria's speed limit system by making speed limits clear, consistent, logical and easy to comply with. Victorians were urged to have their say about how they would like their roads to be managed and to identify specific locations where speed limits needed to be simplified or altered.
