When the terminal equipment displays a locking interface, characteristics of recommended information, which are determined by an application program installed in the terminal equipment, are obtained and are sent to the server, and the recommended information, which is fed back by the server and is matched with the characteristics of the recommended information, is displayed on the locking interface. The recommended information is displayed on the locking interface, so that the recommended information and the locking interface are fused together, and a user can see the recommended information in the current locking interface. The notification ways, such as popup and a short message, are not adopted to recommend the information to the user, so that the user has no sudden feel, the influence on normal use of the user about the terminal equipment is reduced, and meanwhile, the success rate for information recommendation is higher.
