Temperature optimization of CaZrO3 nanophosphors by structural and photoluminescence studies

2016
Abstract CaZrO 3 nanophosphors are synthesized by a citrate based sol-gel method. The prepared powders are annealed at different temperatures and are characterized by XRD, FE-SEM,FTIR andPL spectroscopy techniques to study the structural and luminescence properties. Comparative studies are made to optimize the temperature. From XRD pattern well resolved peaks are obtained at 900°C with orthorhombic structure. FE-SEM images show agglomerated nature. The average size of the particles is calculated by TEM for the sample annealed at 900°C. Under 250 nm excitation, three emission bands occurred with maximum intensity at 392 nm.
