The invention discloses a key quality indicator (KQI) composition method based on service characteristics. The method comprises the following steps: carrying out classification on the service, and creating a classification service model according to classification service contents and application scenes; extracting a product KQI view angle corresponding to a service KQI and a service KQI view angle corresponding to the product KQI view angle in the classification service model according to the classification service model; extracting network key performance indicator (KPI) parameters of which the service KQI is composed, and determining a weighting coefficient; and acquiring a service KQI composition formula according to the determined network KPI parameters corresponding to the service KQI. By adopting the method provided by the invention, the limitation of the network KPI indicators and the uncertainty of the service KQI definition can be avoided, and the KQI reliability can be improved.
