O ensino de botânica na formação de professores de biologia: por que é urgente reformular teoria e prática?

The teacher’s first formation, demands a reflexive reinforce so that the institutional and pedagogical organization of the majoring courses, over more masters, are guided in the twisted symmetry of this professional: when one is preparing to be a teacher, they live the role of a student. On that account, the first formation should have referenced in legal normative and pedagogical recommendations of Basic Education. The teaching of conversing subjects to the big theme Botanic gets by on the indisposition of teachers, that in the majority feel inadequate of teaching those subjects. It’s about a vicious cycle: teachers that had insufficient formation in Botanic reproduce the hard exercise of learning about plants. This study overturns in questionings that come from this problematic, aimed at proposing an investigative activity through Problem-based Learning (PBL) aiming to deepen of themes about Vegetal Physiology by entering in Biological Science major. In this sense, this study is based on qualitative approach, made by research-action with the application of active methodology in the study of Mineral Nutrition. The subjects of this study are composed by students of the subject Vegetal Physiology from the 4 th period of the major Biological Science in the Federal University of Espirito Santo. The activity is divided in two steps: production of a teaching model about Mineral Nutrition, and; applying of the model developed with the classes ahead in the course. By the study proposed is highlighted that the option by teaching models, contribute for the expansion of previous knowledge into scientific knowledge, inside an active and inverted logical of learning: first, one experience, then theorizes. The experiment presented corroborates for an against movement that silence and make invisible the importance of plants as active components of biological and social systems, by the announcement of an active and investigative methodological proposal. What is the objective of learning Botanic?, seems to be a question non restrict only to Basic Education students. However, getting away from pessimism that confine us from complaints, Botanic is certainly serves to understand .
