An Equipment-Based Solution of Power Plant Models Represented by Algebraic-Differential Equations

Abstract A methodology for the description, analysis, configuration and solution of models of equipment used to build networks of a power plant is presented. Emphasis is made on the decomposition of the network by the conservation equations in each equipment. These conservation equations are solved globally, while other internal relations are solved in each equipment. The codes of these models are syntactically and structurally anaIyzed. The network model is solved as a system of algebraic-differential equations (DAES)
