espanolGiuseppe Samona proyecto en 1967 para el Concurso de la Camara de los Diputados en Roma una lucida sintesis de algunas de las preocupaciones mas importantes del debate arquitectonico de la epoca y aplico significativas estrategias formales en el modo de afrontar las relaciones entre arquitectura y ciudad y, en particular, su insercion en el debate sobre los centros historicos que, para Samona, no era sino una parte de un debate mas general sobre el tema de la unidad arquitectura y urbanistica. Se analizan a continuacion algunos de los mecanismos caracteristicos de Samona, la idea del continuo urbano frente al problema de la relacion entre tipologia y morfologia, la cuarta dimension, el apilamiento libre de tipologias diferentes y la seccion esponjada, como estrategias idoneas para intervenir en el centro historico, explotando la creatividad implicita en la compleja realidad funcional, tecnica y simbolica, y la creacion de umbraculos urbanos que transparentan, en el espacio y en la profundidad del tiempo, la imagen heredada de la ciudad historica en dialogo con una arquitectura plenamente moderna. EnglishGiuseppe Samona designed in 1967 a project for the contest of the Chamber of Deputies in Rome and managed a lucid synthesis of some of the most important concerns of the architectural debate of the age and employed memorable formal strategies in the way of dealing with the relations between architecture and city and, in particular, its inclusion in the debate on the historical centres which, for Samona, was a part of a largest debate on the theme of the unity between architecture and planning.We will discuss some of the characteristic mechanisms of Samona, the idea of the urban continuum versus the problem about the rela-tionship between typology and morphology, the fourth dimension, the free stacking of the different types and the fluffy section, as suita-ble strategies to take part in the historical center, exploiting the implied creativity in the complex and functional, technical and symbolic reality, and the creation of outdoor shade structures that show through the space and the time depth the inherited image of the historic city in dialogue with a fully modern architecture
