Bis (3-aryl amino) diphenyl metal compound and an organic electroluminescent device containing the metal compound

Disclosed is a blue phosphorescent light-emitting device improved in emission luminance and efficiency. Also disclosed is a material for such a blue phosphorescent light-emitting device. Specifically disclosed is a bis(3-arylamino)diphenyl metal compound represented by the following general formula (1). (In the formula, M represents a silicon atom or a germanium atom; and Ar 1 and Ar 2 may be the same or different and represent an aryl group or a heteroaryl group, wherein an arbitrary hydrogen atom may be substituted by a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, an alkoxy group or an aryloxy group, or alternatively, adjacent Ar 1 and Ar 2 may be bonded together directly or through an ether bond, a thioether bond, an alkylene group, an oxaalkylene group or a thiaalkylene group.)
