Zi Yu: Writing Allegory in Beijing Dialect

Zi Yu was one of the most important writers in the enlightenment movement among Beijing's lower class in the late Qing Dynasty.As a representative writer writing in Beijing dialect,Zi Yu showed his unique "vernacular writing" and "allegory genre".By analyzing these two aspects,this paper tries to deepen the research on Zi Yu and the vernacular writing in the late Qing Dynasty.
