Investigating the socioeconomic and economical factors affecting gardener's attitudes toward new technologies in preventing late spring frost (case study: meshgin shahr - ardabil province)

Agriculture as one of the main pillars of development plays an important role in economic development, which requires farmers to adopt acceptable policies and programs in order to achieve agricultural development. In this regard, there are natural hazards and incidents that annually cause damage to producers. This descriptive correlation study was conducted to investigate socio-economic factors affecting gardener's attitude towards modern technologies in preventing late spring frost in Meshgin-Shahr, Ardebil province. Using stratified random sampling method, using Cochran formula, 146 gardeners from the villages of onar, Qasabeh and Jabdaraq located in Meshgin Shahr, Iran, had apple orchards, were selected and studied in Meshgin-Shahr city. The main tool of this research is a questionnaire, which is completed by interviewing the necessary information. SPSS16 software was used to analyze the data. The findings of this study showed that the variables of asset, Gardening experience and membership in associations had The greatest impact on farmers' attitudes towards new technologies to avoid late spring frost had Meshginshahr city.
