Effect of prehistory and temperature-concentration conditions on the kinetics of curing of trioxyethylene-α,ω-dimethacrylate and the structure of the network polymer formed☆

1987
Abstract The high temperature inhibited polymerization of TGM-3 and the structure of the network polymers obtained and the features of the structure of the material synthetized under conditions of limited access of air are studied. The effects of the preliminary storage time in storing the initial oligomer, the prepolymerization inhibitor dosage, and the subsequent polymerization and temperature conditions of curing on the mechanism of structurization and the structure of the polymer obtained are discussed. The experimental data obtained by IR spectroscopy and pulsed nuclear magnetic relaxation are in good agreement and are interpreted within the framework of a microheterogeneous model of three-dimensional radical initiated polymerization of oligoether acrylate, and a model of oxidizing layerwise polymerization of oligoether acrylate.
