The Characteristics of Effective Recasts

It is widely believed that the corrective feedback has positive effect on L2 learning.Recast has been proved to be the most frequently used way of corrective feedback and its role in second language acquisition gets more attention in recent years.Knowledge about the characteristics and effectiveness of recast continues to expand.Now it is widely accepted that its effectiveness is constrained by a wide range of variables.Based on a literature research,the present study tries to explore the characteristics of effective recast and make some suggestions on how to give effective recast.
