Approximation by Riesz Means on the Rotation Group SO(3)

This paper deals with the approximation properties of Riesz means in Lp(SO(3)). The convergence rate of the Riesz means is obtained. The equivalence of Riesz means and the Peetre K-functional on the rotation group SO(3) is established.
