Predictive control development for non-minimum phase processes with application in food manufacturing

In this paper, an improved predictive control approach is developed for nonminimum phase (NMP) processes. It gives good performance for command-tracking and robustness against plant parameter variations. The algorithm is simple and easily implementable. Simulation shows that the algorithm works well for a large range of NMP plants with constant control parameter settings. Application in control of the food extrusion process verifies the effectiveness of the approach.
