A Dipole Tag Antenna for Microwave Frequency RFID with Gain Enhancing Technique
2021
This article introduces a half-wave dipole tag antenna for microwave frequency RFID applications with a gain enhancing method. The dipole antenna loaded with meander line is designed at 2.46 GHz with a concise size of 0.32λ 0 X 0.34λ 0 substrate, λ 0 being the free-space wavelength corresponding to the resonant frequency. To establish a conjugate impedance match between antenna and microchip, meander line dipole antenna uses T-match network as an integrated module. Both meandering and T-match techniques evolve into an adequate matching approach. A parasitic element is implemented in parallel with the main driven element in this way that without deforming the omnidirectional pattern, directive gain will increase. 105.43 % impedance bandwidth and 4.77 dBi alongwith other required parameters, the complete tag antenna is beneficial for RFID application.
