Fibrin Gluing: A Valid Aid in Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery

During the past 2½ years, in 96 patients undergoing elective coronary artery bypass graft surgery, fibrin adhesive was used 112 times. The indications were: 1. prophylactic sealing of potential sources of bleeding and 2. topical hemostasis (control of bleeding sites dangerous or difficult to suture).
