Anchovy from Wrist Extansors in Resection Artroplasty for Kienböck's Disease Treatment (Cadaver Study) -

2004
Objectives: To evaluate a new otogen material for anchovy for Kienbock's disease treatment in cadaver study. Methods: Anchovy from ECRL and ECRB tendons were looked for if they can fill the empty space of excised lunatum in 6 cadavers. The dorsal capsule were sutured to the intercarpal ligaments and anchovy to help stability. Results: The mass of anchovy from ECRL and ECRB tendons were enough to fill the empty space of excised lunatum. Conclusion: Because tendinous part of the ECRL muscle is longer than ECRB muscle and insertion of the ECRB muscle is more central anchovy from ECRL tendon seems more suitable for Kienbock's disease resection artroplasty.
