Lactobacillus septicemia, an unusual complication during the treatment of metastatic choriocarcinoma

Abstract A case of severe Lactobacillus septicemia in a patient treated with chemotherapy because of metastatic choriocarcinoma is described. Although Lactobacillus is a ubiquitous commensal of the female genital tract, no earlier reference was found in the literature.
