The aqueous recovery of gold from electronic scrap

In electronic components, gold is used for electroplating of connectors and contacts because it has excellent corrosion resistance and high electrical conductivity. In addition, gold is used in hybrid links and solders. As the number of electronic products in use increases, so does the need to dispose of defective and obsolete equipment including printed circuit boards. Thus, the gold content from electronic components has become a candidate for recovery.
