INFLUENCE OF VACUUM THERMAL TREATMENT ON STRUCTURE OF SOLID SOLUTIONS TiCxHy

2008
It is found complete thermoemission of hydrogen out of lattice of powder samples of the solid solution TiC0.35H0.43: complete evacuation of hydrogen atoms without change of the compound symmetry (which has been formed earlier by hydrogen) in vacuum at the temperature (275°C), lower than recrystallization temperature. After complete hydrogen thermoemission the change of direction of matrix atoms displacement relatively to their ideal position occurs; it may be explained by change of character of interaction between lattice atoms after "soft" removal of hydrogen. It is established that the complete H thermoemission, when the initial symmetry is kept, is observed only in strongly defective structures, i.e. at the lower limit of the homogeneity range of solid solutions TiCxHy.
