Intraocular lens implantation in cataract cases with posterior synechia.

Objective To evaluate surgical technique and postoperative effectiveness in intraocular lens implantation cases with posterior synechia.Methods 19 eyes(19 cases)were performed with iridectomy at first procedure,through the opening of iridectomy and lower limbus assistant incision seperating posterior synechia,making radial small cuts at pupillary margin,undertaking iridoplasty by using anterior vitrectomy cutter to smooth the saw toothed pupillary margin,and using capsulotomy technique to fulfil the IOL implantation.Results 19 eyes were wellperformed with IOL implantation,round pupils were well remained postoperativly,vision improved in 17 cases.Conclusion IOL implantation could be finished successfully and postoperative good effectiveness could be achieved if managements to small pupil with posterior synechia were performed properly
