The method of preparing an energy-saving carbon foam building insulation materials, comprising the following procedures: (1) using the first air oxidation, the medium temperature coal tar placed on a magnetic stirring autoclave, to obtain a high softening point pitch. (2) The step (1) is made of a high softening point pitch crushed to a particle size of 5 ~ 1000μm, the high softening point pitch particles are placed in an organic solvent at 25 ~ 100 ℃, magnetically stirred for 2 ~ 10h, then filtered, dried. (3) The prepared high softening point pitch modified with an amount of a blowing agent, a reinforcing agent mixed mechanically. (4) The step (3) a mixture of a high softening point pitch prepared was placed in a reactor and sealed. (5) Step (4) in the reactor containing a high softening point of the asphalt mixture placed in the reaction furnace, to 1 ~ 20 ℃ / min to temperature rise rate of 300 ~ 500 ℃, and a thermostat 0.5 ~ 10h, followed by Quick relief. According to the present invention, it may be implemented in the near foaming under normal pressure, so that the material cost can be significantly reduced foaming device.
