Effect of Stylosanthes Meal on Production Performance and Egg Quality of Layers

450 Hyline Brown Laying hens,aged 35 weeks,were allocated to 5 groups at random and each group included 90 laying hens respectively.Layers were fed corn-soybean based diet with 0%,2%,4%,6%,8% Stylosanthes meal for 90 days.The results showed that four experimental groups adding different proportion of Stylosanthes meal were significantly higher than that of control in the production performance of layers.Among them,adding 6% Stylosanthes meal were the best,the egg rate was increased by 15.75%.And average egg weight increased by 1.71%,feed/egg ratio was reduced by 5.51%,mortality was reduced by 10%.There was no effect on egg shape index,egg yolk relative weight,eggshell relative weight and haugh unit.
