Perda hídrica e consumo de líquidos em atletas de Futebol

A perda hidrica pela sudorese durante a atividade esportiva pode levar o individuo a desidratacao, ocasionando prejuizos a saude e no rendimento do atleta. O estudo objetivou avaliar a ingestao hidrica e a desidratacao durante os treinos de futebol. Trata-se de um estudo transversal realizado com 76 atletas de categoria de base de um clube de futebol de Porto Alegre, com idade entre 18 e 20 anos, com estatura media de 180,5 + 5,8 cm, massa corporal de 74,8 + 6,7 Kg e percentual de gordura corporal de 10,9 + 0,9%.  A massa corporal dos atletas foi mensurada antes e depois dos treinos, para avaliar a perda de peso. A quantidade de liquidos ingerida foi observada durante o treino, com ajuda de planilha especifica. O percentual de desidratacao medio foi de 0,85 + 0,67%. Os jogadores que atuam na posicao de segundo volante e goleiro perderam mais peso do que os jogadores de outras posicoes (p<0,05). O consumo medio de liquidos foi de 1284,21mL, quantidade abaixo do recomendado para a duracao do treino (p=0,02). Em relacao ao tipo de bebida consumida, 67,1% dos individuos consumiram mais agua durante o treino, 19,7% consumiram mais bebida energetica e 13,2% consumiram a mesma quantidade das duas bebidas oferecidas. O treino de futebol induziu um baixo nivel de desidratacao, e os atletas consumiram voluntariamente mais agua do que bebidas energeticas durante os treinos de futebol. ABSTRACT Hydration and dehydration in football players The water loss by sweating during some sport activity may takes the individual to dehydration, causing injury to health and athlete performance. The aim of this study it was evaluate the water intake and the dehydration during football trainning. The study was composed by 76 youth athletes of Porto Alegre football team, with age between 18 and 20 years old, with 180.5 + 5.8 cm average height, 74.8 + 6.7 Kg body mass and 10.9 + 0.9% of body fat percentage. The body mass of athletes was measured before and after trainings, to assess the weight loss. The quantity of liquid ingested was observed during the training with the help of specific spreadsheet. The average percentage of dehydrating was around 0.85 + 0.67%.  The football players who plays as second defensive midfielder and goalkeeper lost more weight than other players (p<0.05). The average consumption of liquid was around 1284.21mL, below the recommended amount to use during the training (p=0.02). About the type of beverage consumed, 67.1% of individuals consume more water during training 19.7% consumed energy drinks and 13.2% consumed the same quantity of both drinks offered. The soccer trainning led to a low level of dehydration, and athletes voluntarily consumed more water than sports drinks during football training.
