Disfagia secundaria a un osteocondroma cervical gigante

Introduction. Osteochondroma is the most common benign bone tumor and usually occurs in the metaphyseal region of the long bones (99-96%). Approximately 15% of ostechondromas occur as multiple lesions in the context of herediatry multiple osteochondromas (HMOs), a disorder that is inherited in an autosomal dominant manner. This tumour grows slowly. Only 1 to 4% being located in the spine. We present the case of a male patient aged 82 who suffere this tumour localized in the cervical spine. Case. A clinical case of an 82-year-old male patient is presented, with the diagnosis of osteochondroma located in spinous processes of C1 and C2. Conclusion. The rarity of these conditions, relevance of a clinical-radiographic diagnosis, and considerations required for surgical treatment are discussed here.
