Expresiones de luna nueva en las inscripciones jeroglíficas mayas

espanolEl articulo aborda el problema de los glifos que en algunas inscripciones mayas sustituyen a los llamados Glifos E y D. Se retoma la idea, sugerida anteriormente por algunos estudiosos, de que estos glifos hacian referencia a la luna nueva. Despues de realizar un analisis epigrafico, el presente trabajo propone lecturas para varios de estos inusuales glifos. Se concluye que los antiguos mayas habrian contado, efectivamente, con expresiones linguisticas especiales para designar el proceso de desaparicion-invisibilidad-aparicion de la luna. EnglishThe subject of this article is the reading of the glyphs that in some Maya inscriptions substitute to the so called Glyphs E and D. The paper restarts the idea, suggested previously by some scholars, that these glyphs did reference to the new moon phase. After realizing an epigraphic analysis, the present work proposes readings for varied of these unusual glyphs. The article concludes that the ancient Maya would have explained, sure enough, with special linguistic expressions to designate the process of disappearance-invisibility-appearance of the moon.
