Clinical application of laparoscopic retrograde appendectomy with two-port

Objective:To explore the feasibility of laparoscopic retrograde appendectomy with two-port in children.Methods:Forty-one cases of acute appendicitis were divided into two groups:experiment group and control group.Twenty-three patients who underwent retrograde appendectomy were in experiment group,and eighteen patients who accepted three-port anterograde appendectomy were in control group.The operation time,postoperative recovery time and complications between two groups were compared.Results:All operations were successful.The operating time of experiment group was shorter than that of control group [(45±13)min vs.(58±18)min] (P0.001).Conclusions:Laparoscopic retrograde appendectomy with two-port is feasible and worthy to be popularized.
