PROBLEMS OF MOTION CONTROL OF THE SPACE ORBITAL COMPLEX INCLUDING THE SALYUT-6 LONG-TERM MANNED STATION, THE SOYUZ MANNED TRANSPORT SPACECRAFT AND THE PROGRESS AUTOMATIC CARGO SPACECRAFT

1980
The problems of motion control of the spacecraft forming an orbital complex is presented. The primary emphasis is given to the assurance of an acceptable quality of attitude control and stabilization at different phases of the complex's flight. The problem of control of the orbital complex of a changeable configuration and the effect of changing the object's control characteristics on the quality of dynamic operations are discussed. The primary characteristics of the station's control system in the mode of automatic and manual orientation are given. Features of the “Cascade” automatic control loop providing long–term maintaining of the orbital orientation are described. Data on the operation of the space orbital SALYUT–6 complex's flight conditions during 1977–1978 are presented.
