Method for saving of files of mobile terminal

A method for storing files in a portable terminal is provided to shorten a time for file storage by checking and storing the files stored in a folder, not all the files stored in a memory. A control part controls a connection part to detect whether a memory is inserted(S210). If the insertion of a memory is detected, the control part acquires the ID information of the inserted memory from the connection part and confirms whether the acquired ID information exists in a storage part(S215). If not, the control part confirms whether the memory has a counter(S220). In case that the memory does not have a counter, the control part allocates a counter to the memory(S230). Then the control part confirms whether a storage command to store a specific file in the memory is inputted(S250). If the storage command is inputted, the control part stores the specific file in the memory(S260). Afterwards, the control part controls the connection part and detects whether the memory is taken out(S270).
