Tunable wavelength converter based on the stimulated Raman scattering

2013
In order to solve the defect that common wavelength converter can only convert a single wavelength, using a tunable laser and stimulated raman scattering amplifier theory, two channel gain expression is got by analysis the analytic solution of multi-channel coupled equations Transient Stimulated Raman Scattering.A theoretical model of tunable wavelength conversion technology based on stimulated raman scattering is established and simulation is tested by using OptiSystem Software. The simulation results show that under the conditions of two optical frequency differences within 1~15 THz,the wavelength of the output optical signal controlled by the tunable laser can achieve the tuneable wavelength conversion. The gain after optical signal conversion is proportional to the frequency difference of the two lights and inversely proportional to the wavelength of the pumping light.
