[The epidemiology of pulmonary embolism, as evidenced by autopsies].

2007
: Among different forms of cardiovascular diseases, there is a considerable increase in the incidence of thromboembolic complications in the pulmonary arterial system. In the assessment of epidemiology, there are certain problems associated with the paucity of specific symptoms and diagnostic techniques, the perfidy of the course, appeared as asymptomatic deep vein thrombosis and fatal manifestations of pulmonary thromboembolism. The prevalence of fatal embolism has been adequately studied when pulmonary thromboembolism is a major or contributory cause of death.
