Corrupção na saúde no Brasil: reflexão à luz da abordagem baseada nos DireitosHumanos

2017
This article aim s to analyze the incorporation of the human rights approach to addressing corruption within the brazilian public health system (SUS). Is a theoretical research based on specific articles on corruption in health, as well as others of a documentary nature. Concerning the human rights approach, the study was based on UNITED NATIONS (UN) documents on human rights and corruption. Was concluded that, in Brazil, transparency and accountability mechanisms within the scope of SUS should be improved, consolidated and strengthened in order to face corruption. It is also concluded that the Brazilian society's observation that health resources are appropriated by private agents contribute to undermine movements in favor of the necessary increase of public resources for health financing. Finally, should be noted that the increase in the volume of health values must be accompanied by a real commitment to combat corruption.
