Evolução da distribuição do mercado formal de trabalho nas mesorregiões de Santa Catarina entre 2001 e 2018

This article analyzes the distribution of formal employment links in the mesoregions of the state of Santa Catarina between 2001 and 2018. For this purpose, the study relies on regionalized data from RAIS, based on its composition by sector of economic activity, sex of the workers and level of remuneration. The analyzed period was divided into two phases, in view of the rupture observed in 2015. In the phase up to 2014, there was a trend of improvement in the degree of formalization of employment, highlighting the good performance of the mesoregions of Grande Florianopolis and Vale do Itajai. Through the emergence of the economic crisis, in 2015 a process of disruption of the formal labor market started in all regions of the state, with negative results especially in the regions of Sul Catarinense and Grande Florianopolis.
