Oxidative Dimerisierung von Methan an Modifizierten Bleioxid-Aluminiumoxid-Katalysatoren

1990
The influence of different alumina and alkaline earth metal oxide-modified alumina carriers on the catalytic properties of lead oxide-alumina catalysts has been investigated in oxidative dimerization of methane. A characterization of the catalyts was carried out by textur, XRD and TPR measurements. The experimental results show that the catalytic properties depend on the formation of magnetoplumbite-like phases. A modification of the alumina component with magnesia leads to an increase of the catalytic activity and selectivity. It was found a correlation between reducibility and catalytic activity.
