Injection mold temperature control structure

2009
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for controlling temperature of mold for injection molding capable of efficiently controlling the temperature on the surface of a mold contacting with a molded product in the mold and, at the same time, reducing thermal diffusion to mold plates. SOLUTION: A passage 3 for controlling temperature of mold comprises: a first groove 32 which is dug and formed along a mold basic surface 31 serving as substrate of mold surfaces 1a, 2a; a second groove 33 which is cut off more widely than the width of the first groove on the upper surface side of the first groove; a first metal layer 34 which is formed so as to cover the first groove and is made of material having a thermal conductivity lower than the thermal conductivity of each mold plate; a second metal layer 35 which is formed so as to cover the first metal layer and is made of material having a thermal conductivity higher than the thermal conductivity of material of each mold plate; an embedding plate 36 which is disposed so as to close the second groove by covering the second groove and is made of a material having a thermal conductivity substantially equal to the thermal conductivity of the second metal layer; and a third metal layer 37 which is formed so as to cover the basic surface and the embedding plate and serve as the mold surface for a product, and is made of a material having a thermal conductivity substantially equal to the thermal conductivity of the second metal layer.
