An optimized condition for practical and scalable hydrodeiodination of perfluoroalkyl iodides

Abstract An efficient and convenient synthesis of various hydroperfluoroalkanes from the corresponding perfluoroalkyl iodides or bromides with zinc powder in HOAc/H 2 O has been developed. The reaction is quite practical and suitable for large-scale preparation due to the simple experimental procedures and the readily available reagents.
