On the History,Status of the Traditional Cultural Education in the Higher Vocational Colleges inTaiwan and its Enlightenment

After the retrocession of Taiwan, the rapid development of vocational education, which gradually forms a complete system, has cultivated a lot of talent for "Taiwan economic miracle". However, students trained under the guidance of pragmatism and utilitarianism education policies have shown the apparent absence of human qualities. General education comes into being after the reflection of "instrumentalism"and "essentialism"in higher vocational education, which takes the traditional Chinese culture edu-cation as an important element. Through the setting of whole - person - oriented educational philosophy and the building of a traditional culture and education platform, the implementation of content - rich curriculum enables the vocational students to settle in, which also has a positive impact on their sustainable development.
