Focusing Effect of Discrete Parabolic Reflector Made of Dielectric Wires

2020
We consider a problem of the plane wave scattering by a discrete parabolic reflector (DPR) made of equidistantly located silicon wires. We study a focusing ability of such reflectors both in E- and H-polarization cases. For modeling of this problem we use the method of partial separation of variables together with regularization, which leads to the Fredholm second kind matrix equation for the field expansion coefficients. This fact guarantees convergence of solution and predicted accuracy of our calculations. We numerically study reflecting characteristics of DPRs and their focusing ability together, with near-field patterns and field values in focus spot.
