Objective: This research was conducted to determine the sexual myths of health professionals. Methods: The universe of this study was all of the health care professionals (N=323) in a State Hospital between October 2016 and December 2017 and sample of the study was 195 health care, professionals, including 128 nurses, 32 paramedic, 25 midwives and 10 health care officers. The data were collected by using two data collection tools, Personal Information Form and Sexual Myths Scale. Results: As a result of the findings, it was determined that the average age of the health professionals is 27.34 ± 5.92. In the families of 69.2% of the health professionals, the related topics are not talked about sexually and the related information is not given, 41 % of the health professionals were get the first information about sexuality from their friends. The mean score of the sexual myths scale of the health professionals in the study was 77,26±16,71. There was a statistically significant difference between the average scores of sexual myths scale according to age, gender, occupation, marital status, who experienced first sexual experience, belief in the definite rhetoric about the sex, and the first source of information (p<0,05). In line with these results, it was determined that the sexual myths of health professionals.  Conclusion: It is suggested that health professionals hould carry out studies aiming to remove the sexual myths existing through in-service trainings on sexuality and take active role of psychiatric nurses in these studies.
