A method for producing the paper

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing paper capable of improving production efficiency of high quality paper.SOLUTION: The method for producing paper includes a step of measuring two or more water quality parameters which relate to water qualities in a water system of a papermaking system 10 in which paper is made from a paper stock in parallel with the operation of the papermaking system 10, and performing a water treatment based on the measured values. It is preferable that the water quality parameters are selected from a group consisting of an oxidation-reduction potential, a glucose content, an organic acid content, a pH, a calcium ion content, an electric conductivity, a turbidity, a cation demand, a temperature, a degree of foaming, a COD, a BOD, a dissolved oxygen content, a starch content, a residual chlorine content, and a respiration rate.
