Analysis and Treatment for TA Break of 500kV Bus Protection in Xiaogan Substation

This paper theoretically analyzed the case of TA break of 500kV bus protection in Xiaogan substation,by proposed detection method,found out the fault reason is one winding's discharge gap of the current transformer that connects relay being short-circuited,then the countermeasures for the fault are proposed,proposed detection method and countermeasures offer the important engineering significance to diminish bus protection device TA breaks.
