Analysis of thyroid and thyroxin by means of high performance liquid chromatography

This paper presents a high performance liquid Chromatographic method to analyse thyroxin containing formulations. The same method can be used to analyse the liothyronin and thyroxin content of hydrolyzed thyroid raw material. The proposed method can be used as content uniformity test. An interaction is noticed between thyroxin and lactose in the presence of ammonia. The method is suitable for routine analysis.
