A capacitance detection circuit (14) for use in an electronic apparatus (10), the capacitance detection circuit (14) comprising a plurality of transmission electrodes (TX 1 -TX N ); at least one receiving electrode (RX 1 -RX M ); and a drive sensing circuit (140) coupled to the at least one receiving electrode (RX 1 -RX M ) and used for generating a drive signal (VDR) to the at least one receiving electrode (RX 1 -RX M ) and measuring the voltage of the at least one receiving electrode (RX 1 -RX M ) to produce at least one output signal (VO 11 -VO MN- ); the at least one output signal (VO 11 -VO MN- ) is related to the capacitance of at least one mutual capacitor (CM 11 -CM MN ) between the at least one receiving electrode (RX 1 -RX M ) and one transmission electrode of the plurality of transmission electrodes (TX 1 -TX N ).
