Developments of toughening and modifying of epoxy resin

Epoxy resin is a kind of thermosetting resin with excellent general performance and has cheap price comparatively,so epoxy resins are extensively used in national economy.But due to their low toughness,their application is subjected to limited.In order to solve this problem,toughening agents are is added into the resins.The research progress on toughening and modifying of epoxy resins and their mechanism on home and abroad was reviewed in this paper.And future outlook and treds were also explored.
