Process for the production of particles of modified composite, in which A) one or more inorganic finely divided solids and one or more organic polymers are mixed in a solvent or a mixture of several solvents, fixing solid inorganic finely divided to organic polymers and thus forming composite particles, and organic polymers based on a) 0.01 to 30% by weight, based on the total weight of the monomers used in the polymerization together for the preparation of organic polymers, one or more ethylenically unsaturated alcohols with one or more selected additional functional groups from the group comprising carboxylic acid groups or derivatives thereof, silane groups, sulfonic acid, sulfate, phosphate, phosphonate, isocyanate, amine, quaternized amine, hydrazine, epoxy, ether monomers, hydroxy or CO, b) one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers other than m nomeros a), characterized in that, then B) in the presence of composite particles from stage A), polymerizing one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers.
