How to develop colligative properties of solution chemistry e-book based science process skills approach with 4S TMD models?
2019
The study aims to develop colligative properties of solution chemistry ebook
based science process skills (SPS) approach with 4S TMD. Today, school
facilities have supported the implementation of digital-based learning. However,
teaching materials are digital based, one of which is that the e-book is not yet
available in the learning process. Then, teaching materials available are less
associated with phenomena, less emphasis on the learning process. It is expected
that teaching materials can facilitate students to experience meaningful learning
especially in the material of colligative properties of solutions. Meaningful learning
processes can be supported by a process-based approach that allows students to
learn scientific phenomena with insight and understanding through SPS. Then we
need teaching materials that contain content that can develop SPS. Development
Research (DR) was used as method of the study by Richey and Klein that consists of
design, development, and evaluation. The design step is analyzing and designing the
types of developed teaching materials. 4S TMD models consists of selection,
structuring, characterization, and didactic reduction. There are 2 basic
competencies that exist in the curriculum based on the selection steps, the
interrelationships between subject matter and indicators, the relationship between
certain skills and subject matter. The structuring step produced concept maps,
macro structures, and many representations were compiled to become the first
concepts of teaching materials used to develop instruments for the characterization
step. This research only to structuring step, characterization and didactic reduction
steps will be carried out.Introduction.
